My Comedy London (formerly Laughing Cows London) is an award-winning comics such as Zoe Lyons and Shazia Mirza. The night is hosted by resident compere, Maureen Younger. The night takes place at the Retro Bar.

A great night out – unique shows always featuring a line-up of new and well known female comedians. Maureen Younger is superb as compere, being warm and welcoming whilst sending up the audience in several languages. It’s very relaxed and intimate – lots of audience interaction and very different to other more mainstream comedy nights – there’s nowhere else quite like it in London.
There’s always a fun, friendly atmosphere with an audience of regulars as well as first-timers. It’s a chilled out venue where nearly everyone chats to everyone else by the end of the night.
The first comedy night I attended which was hosted by Maureen was a complete accident but one of the most fortunate accidents one could ever experience. Since that first night I have not resisted returning for more, lets just say it has become a monthly habit, one that I have since been more than happy to explore further.
Not only do we all get to have a great laugh, we also get to interact with the comedian herself which may I add, is a comedy in its own right and shows just how good Maureen is at what she does.
No better way to end the day than a few hours a hardcore laughter with one of the best comedians I have encountered so far, pure bliss!
I have been part of the audience at Laughing Cows since 2010 and appeared as a comedian for Maureen Younger by the following year. The shows are quite unique: female comedians in front of a mixed audience and I haven’t attended a single event that hasn’t been brilliant, innovative and very very funny!
Maureen Younger is a gem. Her laughter is infectious and inspiring, her comedy act is in a superior class of its own. Charismatically and with great charm and warmth she turns the tables on the audience, teasing them, challenging them, making brilliant jokes at their expense – and they LOVE it! Maureen is incredibly funny, often rude, sometimes incisive, other times mad as a hatter –
she is the consummate comedian.
Five years ago when I hit my sixtieth birthday I became a stand-up comic. Maureen was the first person to book me. She gave an unconfident, tentative new comedian a start and has booked me ever since. I’m not the only one who has benefited from her care and generosity of time and spirit,
again and again she has encouraged new and established comics.
Her nights are special; always packed, they attract a regular audience who know they’re going to have a fantastic, entertaining evening. I’ve taken friends, relations, even the odd enemy or two. When you’re laughing your socks off even enemies seem like friends. There is always a brilliant range of comedians, I’ve shared the bill with a magician, a knitted vagina, and some of the
funniest women in Britain.
I cannot recommend Maureen Younger and her comedy evening high enough.

This really is a lovely night out – always a great line-up, and wonderfully MC’d by the inimitable Maureen Younger. A great venue and warm and friendly atmosphere.
There is always a great line up always held together by the incredible glue; Maureen Younger who comperes the night with both with and electricity. Having a private bar upstairs is always helpful too.
