In an attempt to bring you comedy online without having the poor comic stare down the lens of a camera to utter silence, last week saw the launch of MY Comedy Chats – a cross between stand up and chat show.
It’s wasn’t the most auspicious of starts. About an hour and a half before kick off, my internet provider Talk Talk (the irony) went down. The show was saved thanks to two friendly neighbours who allowed me to sit by the bins in their front garden while I ‘borrowed’ their Wi-Fi.
Notwithstanding the technical hitch the show, featuring Jen Brister, Allyson June Smith and Les Kershaw, proved a great hit. So much so we’re making it a regular show for the duration of the lockdown at least. Shows will take place every Thursday at 8:30 pm UK time.
